  • Today a post on Designlovefest addressed the question “How should I approach companies I want to work with?”
It made me revisit my standard email tactics. Since one of my major goals for the year is to get into a couple of physical stores, impressionable emails are very important. The person who buys for the store is never there when I stop by. The recommended course of action is always to send an email with some photos. I try to keep my tone somewhere in the neighborhood of enthusiastic without appearing desperate or crazy. I took some cues from Bri’s example and came up with something I’m pretty proud of. I also recently combined my favorite photos into an email-able flyer. After drafting my email it was easy to distill my sales pitch into two sentences.
